Refont (refont.app) is operated by MatrixInn Solutions. This policy explains what happens to information when you use the site. If anything is unclear, contact us.
Your fonts
They are never uploaded. Every conversion runs inside your browser, using code this site sends to your browser. No copy of a font you convert, its name, or anything read from it is transmitted to us or anyone else. This follows from how the site is built rather than from a promise: there is no upload function in the code. The About page explains how it works, and you can confirm it in your browser's developer tools, where no request carrying your file ever appears.
Server logs
Like almost every website, the server that delivers these pages keeps a standard access log. For each request it can record your IP address, the page or file requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. None of it relates to your fonts, which never reach the server.
We use these logs to keep the server working (diagnosing errors, understanding load, spotting abuse) and to see, in aggregate, which pages are used. They are not sold, not shared, not used for advertising, and are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Cookies and local storage
As of the date above, this site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser to identify you. Your browser may cache the site's files, including the conversion engines, so they don't download again; that cache contains no information about you or your fonts.
Fonts, scripts and other resources
Every script, typeface and conversion engine this site uses is served from this same domain. We don't load fonts from Google Fonts or scripts from public CDNs, because that would send your IP address to a third party on every page view.
Advertising
We intend to support this free tool with advertising, including Google AdSense. If and when ads are shown on this site:
- Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure them. This concerns the pages you view, never the fonts you convert.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, through a consent message that follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, as Google requires. Declining doesn't stop you from using the converter.
- You can review and control how Google uses data for ads at adssettings.google.com, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
This section is written before ads are turned on, so the policy is accurate from the first day they appear. If our advertising setup differs from this description, we will correct the section.
Analytics
There is no analytics script on this site. Nothing runs in your browser to measure you, and no identifier is assigned to you. Any traffic figures we look at come from the server logs described above.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them. It has no accounts.
Your rights
We hold no accounts, files or personal profiles, so there is usually nothing of yours to export or delete. The server logs above are the only record of a visit, and they expire on their own. If you think we hold something about you that this policy doesn't mention, tell us and we will check and answer honestly.
Changes and contact
